U.S. CITIZENSHIP

U.S. citizenship offers many opportunities. Some of the advantages of U.S. citizenship are: the right to vote in state and federal elections, the ability to work for the U.S. federal government and receive public benefits. U.S. citizens can also take trips or live outside the U.S. longer than a year without obtaining any reentry documentation and travel with a U.S. passport to some countries without obtaining visas to these countries. There are also certain benefits for family members of a U.S. citizen. A U.S. citizen can help his or her close relatives immigrate to the United States.
